Helpful Hints

To re-create the mini album shown here, follow these helpful hints. For more detailed information on how to assemble the featured project, contact your Close To My Heart Consultant.

  • Create the album cover as follows.
    1. Trace portions of the monogram letter on the right side of the blank album cover and on the right side of two sheets of B&T Duos™ paper, creating cover pieces for the front and back of the album cover.
    2. Trace the entire monogram letter on a sheet of B&T paper.
    3. Using the cutting knife and light pressure, repeatedly follow the traced lines on the album cover until you cut through the chipboard.
    4. Using the Micro-Tip scissors, cut out the traced lines on all of the B&T papers.
    5. Attach one of the B&T papers to the front of the album cover, lining up the partially cut-out letter. Attach the fully cut-out letter to the Dimensional Element. Using the flat-edged Finishing File, smooth the edges of the Dimensional Element.
    6. Using Cocoa ink, create a title. Cut out each letter.
    7. Create journaling strips and attach to the front cover.
    8. Using Liquid Glass, attach the Dimensional Element to the cover, lining up the partially cut-out letter.
    9. Attach Edge Anchors™ as desired.
    10. Attach the remaining B&T paper to the back of the album cover, lining up the partially cut-out letter.
  • Create the album pages as follows:
    1. Cut the album pages so they are staggered 1/2": Begin with 3 1/4" for page 1, then 3 3/4" for page 2, then 4 1/4" for page 3, etc.
    2. Cover both sides of each page with photos, B&T paper, or cardstock.
    3. Embellish as desired.
    4. Once all pages are complete and bound together in the book, attach the cut-out letters of your title.
